IBCGA data will be available soon !!!
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in India. A significant increase in the incidence of breast cancer-associated mortality in the Indian population has been noted. Genomic characterization of tumors helps improve clinical management of cancer patients. Typically through directed molecular intervention for treatment and more precise diagnosis/prognosis. With this in mind, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) initiated the first program for full genomic profiling of the Indian breast cancers - The Indian Breast Cancer Genome Atlas (IBCGA). Currently, data from this study comprise whole genome sequencing and transcriptome, along with clinical history of treatment/response. Epigenome and cell-free DNA sequencing will follow. Overall IBCGA seeks to create India-specific cancer genomic resources, and find actionable molecular features of clinical significance. Data from this study will be available soon for research/academic use.
